Recently, I logged in to change some of my sessions around for MAX 2004 … instead of being greeted by the Conferon static HTML blah, I was meet with a nice RIA for session scheduling and conflict resolution. Pretty neat use of Flex and from experience I know it was probably a lot quicker and easier to build it using Flex … these are the types of application that will probably make Flex popular around the large businesses …

Quest for the Rest … very well done game … needs more levels, but the idea is there and the audio/sfx are great … if you liked Peasant Quest you’ll like this one …

There’s been some info gathering by Macromedia around various blogs …

Seems they are accepting feature requests from the design community for their next release of Flash … for what I’ve heard thus far, seems they are again refocusing their attention to the designers … this makes me think 8-ball will be geared away from developers … who Macromedia hopes will be onto Flex by the next release …

So it’s my guess most people will be forced into using Flex for most RIA development with Flash being used a tool to create UI’s and smaller applications … but it’s only a guess … suppose we’ll have to wait for a bit.

I was glancing through the New Masters of Flash book (3rd edition) … from Friends of Ed … this guys got some really great mix of flash and 3d. I think this site alone probably took a month to build …
