Recently, I logged in to change some of my sessions around for MAX 2004 … instead of being greeted by the Conferon static HTML blah, I was meet with a nice RIA for session scheduling and conflict resolution. Pretty neat use of Flex and from experience I know it was probably a lot quicker and easier to build it using Flex … these are the types of application that will probably make Flex popular around the large businesses …

If you haven’t checked out the whitepaper on Flex portlets you should probably check it out … has the whole notation of a “desktop” composed of flex portlets which perform a specific task … noteably, the example they give is the desktop of a financial person with real-time stock timer, streaming webcast, news, etc.

Anyways, thought I’d share.
