Flash Devices video from Robert Hall
November 23rd, 2005 by Scott JanousekRob just posted a “review” of some of the flash devices that are on market right now. Most of them you have probably seen already, but if not, here they are … up close and with a good deal of technical narration.
The Samsung is probably the one you haven’t seen a lot. It is only available overseas in Korea. I think Bill has shown it once or twice in some presentations. The graphics and UI are great on it, but I could see how the sound could get annoying after a while … I wonder if there is a way to customize the flash user experience (custom skins, themes, sounds, etc) … albeit on a high level of customization.
Here are the devices he talks about:
- Kodak EasyShare-One WiFi 4MP Digital Camera with touchscreen Flash UI
- Samsung SGH-S380 an MP3 Player/Camera/Mobile Phone with Flash UI
- Leapfrog Leapster an Educational learning device with Flash UI
- iRiver U10 an MP3/Radio/Video/Flash Lite 1.1 content player with Flash Lite 1.1 UI
- Nokia 6680 a 3G Mobile Smart Phone with Flash Lite 1.1 content (will support Flash Lite 2.0 when released)

Anyways, thank Rob for putting it together. Point to it when people ask you about flash UI on devices.
