Futuristic Contact Lenses
July 6th, 2006 by Scott Janousek
I caught this in a recent wired magazine and thought it was worth posting since it’s either thought provoking, or just too cool a concept not to share. Take your pick.
Obviously, it’s a tease … unless there’s some underground government program I’m not aware of? … But seriously, wired was just playing with the idea.
In case you can’t read the box labels they say: “Now with Google Smartlook”, and: WiFi enabled, Location Aware, 16 Megapixels Camera Functionality, Compatible with Mac, Linux, and Windows.
One less reason to get laser surgery? One more reason to get rid of the glasses?
Anyways, years away … but interesting to think a future generation might someday be walking around like a bunch of Terminators …
In that case, “Come with me if you want to live” - The T800.

Have you seen the Nike contact lenses? They are pretty cool, made especially for sports. Supposedly some MLB player had his batting average go up after using them.

yeah.. Nike Maxsight contact lenses from Bausch and Lomb are designed to improve your visual performance in athletic settings. They are monthly disposable contacts made to be worn daily, removed nightly and thrown away after up to one month of use.
