Bill (who is in Japan right now for Adobe MAX) had a recent post about some of the latest KDDI devices that are launching as part of KDDI’s Autumn/Winter collection.
These devices have Flash Lite 2 support for downloadable content, and personalization. Bill is looking into specific capabilities, and may post more soon.
Check out their marketing launch site for autumn & winter, it’s very slick in terms of experience.

Unfortunately (for a lot of us overseas), the collection includes devices that Westerners will not likely ever physically touch anytime soon (unless you are in Japan, that is)!
This is a preview of Latest Keitai from KDDI comes with Flash Lite 2 support

Mark posted about the Sony Ericsson guidelines for Flash Lite 2.0.
Without being incorrectly labeled as “anti”-Sony Ericsson (everyone knows I’m a nice guy, right?
), I’ll just say I’d expect there to be a lot more info in this kind of document … perhaps I downloaded the wrong document?
I don’t think that’s the case though … anyways, I’m just making an simple observation of this specific item’s brevity.
Anyways, SE does have some excellent resources which are in depth … most of which the community contributed to. You should check’em out.

Yet another event, tonight in Boston in regards to mobile.
Transforming the Mobile Landscape: Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Wireless
October 29, 2007
The mobile industry is undergoing a massive revolution as the number of subscribers and applications are exploding. Big gorillas like Apple and Google are promising to change the handset and carrier business models, while many more smaller startups - dozens in the Boston area alone - are planning on transforming our overall mobile experience. All of their efforts will no doubt be buoyed by the up and coming wireless technological innovations.
This is a preview of Boston, becoming a hotspot for mobile?

Via instructables.com: I think this is a really neat idea, especially if you are traveling! SOS Wallet AKA Mobile Phone Wallet … keep a bit of cash, etc. in your mobile device in case of emergency!
Of course, this is only practical if you loose your wallet … if you are robbed (and have a decent device), I guess this “trick” is a bit flawed.

Working with sleek mobile devices footprints had me rethink my overloaded leather wallet … Don’t get me wrong, I love the leather and design (see below):

But, eventually all my wallets buckle, rip, and eventually fall apart.
What starts as a happy story (me finding a brand new wallet that feels and smells brand new) usually ends the same way.
My wallet eventually dies a horrible death after several months of wear/tear/ and abuse … and so goes to a place I like to call “Wallet Heaven” (aka the Salvation Army).

Along with many who were at a busy MAX (Chicago), I missed out on this news. Alessandro probably caught it, and now I find Dale posted about it not so long ago.
I’m talking about the Forum Nokia “Creative Pros” site.

Here is some relevant info from the release:
The launch of the Forum Nokia “Creative Pros” site will help guide creative Web professionals, and the more than 1.5 million Flash developers, to target a vast new mobile market of Nokia device users. Rich media experiences for mobile users may include: animated Flash games, advertisements, websites, album skins, Flash video and desktop Flash 8 multimedia content.

OK, this is tough to explain, but basically Max Antinori has created a 2nd Life Flash Lite User Group. Why? Because it’s trendy and new? Yes. but I’d like to think that this might potentially be much more if it could utilized in a few ways (which I’ll talk about later in this post).
2nd Life was a tangent topic of both discussion and amusement at one of our past Flash Mobile user group meetings, and although I had heard about it before, I had never joined in this “other world”.
