Sponge Bob’s got some Adobe Flash Home love
February 14th, 2008 by Scott JanousekChris Georgenes (aka Mudbubble, aka “keyframer”) posted about some animation work he did for Mobile World Congress 2008.
It’s a Nickeledon based home screen using Adobe Flash Home.
I haven’t seen the user interface first hand, but I imagine it’s pretty fun, given his animation work.
Anyways, nice brand for mobile both in U.S. market and abroad, I would say … I believe Sponge Bob Square Pants is a bit of a global cult following for kids around the world these days … and even some adults (no, not me, though. I barely know the fellow having only watched 1 episode)!
Anyways, I’ve had conversations with Chris, and he’s pretty excited about Flash on Mobiles Devices … which is great news.
Also, he’s just a few miles away me in the suburbs of Boston … so he can ping me with technical questions about Flash Lite.

Thanks Scott. The mobile app for Adobe is a mix of canned demo animation and real data being streamed (mostly from accuweather). I’ll try and find out from Adobe if and when I can post it. I may never be able to since the content is from SpongeBob and Avatar programs which are owned by Nick. At any rate, I am starting to talk to Moket about developing mobile content as well. Talk soon bro.
