Chipuya Town: a Japanese Flash based MMORPG on keitai

In Japan, there’s a new mobile service called Chipuya Town.
It’s a virtual world accessible on Flash enabled keitai. Users can create avatars in a virtual 2-D world that represents Tokyo’s Shibuya shopping district.
Essentially it’s a Flash based MMORPG targeted at younger Japanese women. Within the world players socialize with each other, and attain “Groove” [...]

Tech-mobi 2007 - Japanese Flash Lite event

I don’t have my translator accessible right now, so I’m just going by google.
Tech-mobi seems to be focused on Flash Lite technology, trends & business.
Looks to be about 10 total speaking on Flash Lite at this event.

Notes from DoCoMo keynote @ Adobe MAX Japan 2007

David Collier (of Japan) had a post recently on some of the highlights from DoCoMo’s keynote given by Natsuno Takeshi at last week’s Adobe MAX Japan 2007 conference.
According to Dave’s post, Flash Lite 3.0 enabled handsets will be shipping as early as end of this month over there.

Latest Keitai from KDDI comes with Flash Lite 2 support

Bill (who is in Japan right now for Adobe MAX) had a recent post about some of the latest KDDI devices that are launching as part of KDDI’s Autumn/Winter collection.
These devices have Flash Lite 2 support for downloadable content, and personalization. Bill is looking into specific capabilities, and may post more soon.

At the upcoming Adobe MAX Japan conference, I found there are 3 sessions on mobile (D-2, D-3, D-4).
Here are some rough translations of the session titles:
