Harmony Line is a MIT Media Lab spin off from the hyperscore/Toy Symphony project.
Essentially, they have setup a service, H-lounge, and retooled the software, hyperscore (think simplified “garage band”), to help users create and distribute their own custom personalized ringtones.

e-ink has released a developers kit .
I wonder if Adobe is looking at this yet? As one of their legacy philosophies is … “if there is a screen, Flash should be on it”. Obviously, the display is very limited at this point ( no color, bad pixel density, refresh rate, etc ) … [...]
