Project Name: Slot Machine Mobile Game
Client: Adobe
Year: 2005
Timeline: a few days
Role: Flash Mobile and Device Developer
Project Type: very simple game demonstrating very early Flash Lite content working on a Nokia device

This slot machine game was one of the very first pieces of mobile content I created for a mobile phone. The slot machine was designed and developed using Macromedia Flash Lite 1.1 at the time, and was for an Adobe project to promote mobile development within the broader Flash community.

I was one of a dozen Flash developers chosen to work with a very alpha version of the Flash Lite player on Nokia Symbian devices to help give feedback on the platform, and the runtime.

The slot machine featured randomly appearing Adobe logos and a bit of animation with the handle, light, and spinning dials. There were also sound effects for this piece of content, which proved very challenging at the time, given the state of the runtime, and mobile device. Several tips & tricks were discovered during the exploration of sound for this particular piece of content which later helped Macromedia identify bugs, and make improvements to their runtime, and overall platform.
